A Morning Bone Broth Ritual
by Bon Sip
Most mornings begin in a rush: alarms, phones, coffee on the go. A morning ritual is the opposite. It's a few quiet minutes you give yourself before the day asks anything of you. For us, that ritual is a warm cup of broth.
The ritual, step by step
- Warm it gently. Pour one cup of broth into a small pot and warm it over medium-low heat until it's steaming. There's no need to boil it. Heat only what you'll drink, as broth tastes best warmed once.
- Choose your mug. Use one you love. It sounds small, but it turns a habit into a moment.
- Add a little something, if you like (see below).
- Sit down and sip slowly. No phone, no emails. Hold the mug in both hands, breathe, and take your time.
- Then start your day. Many people have their broth before coffee, or let it replace their first cup altogether.
Simple add-ins
- A squeeze of fresh lemon
- A thin slice of fresh ginger
- A pinch of turmeric with a crack of black pepper
- A few fresh herbs, like parsley or thyme
- For something creamier, try our Bon Sip Latte
Which broth for your morning?
- Chicken FODMAP if your digestion needs gentleness. With no onion and no garlic, it's the softest start for a sensitive gut.
- Roasted Beef if you want a rich, hearty cup full of collagen for hair, skin, nails and joints.
- Turmeric Mushroom Vegan if you want to support your immune system, especially through cold and flu season.
Many people rotate through all three during the week, so they get the benefits of each.
A ritual doesn't need to be complicated to be powerful. Five quiet minutes with something truly nourishing can change how the whole day feels.
